PAK INDEPENDENCE DAY | SAMREEN BASHIR

Everything is decorated with green and white colors. Schools, streets, buildings and shops furnished with balloons, Flowers, and flags. The wave of happiness is emerging around Pakistan in this month of celebration. The Pakistani nation is full of enthusiasm and ready to celebrate Independence Day. We celebrate independence yearly, but are we as a nation really free? Do we follow the path of our great leader Quaid-e-Azam? The answers to such questions must be no. We are not free; we are not following the right path. We as a nation are leg behind in every walk of life.

Our determined and wise leaders achieve this territory by paying a very high cost. They lost their lives, home, money, and everything for getting Pakistan. It is very important to note that this country was not a piece of cake for our leaders they literally did hard work to separate Hindustan. This happened in the name of Islam and finally, Pakistan emerged on the world map on 14 august 1947.

In current era when we give a look to the circumstance of Pakistan, we easily noted that the aim behind the creation of Pakistan has lost. We are indulged in bribery, corruption, nepotism and all other evils. Besides following Quaid’s path and saying, we have involved in enormous evils. The aspiration of this piece of the land has vanishes.

Pakistan is our motherland we have to do something to save this sacred piece of the land. We cannot rely on our leaders only; we should do something by ourselves. The Pakistani nation is a brave nation we can do anything, we are one, we share one identity and we believe in one God and Rasool (S.A.W), this is the most sensitive connection among us. This relation connects Muslims all over the world. Pakistani should take a stand and should free themselves from all monstrous evils that are engulfing Pakistan’s soft image. We can work on this step by step; there are many remedies which can save us from destruction.

First and foremost step is to free the nation from the menace of corruption and terrorism. These are the leading issues of this nation. WE should realize that we are looting our beloved country’s property by involving in such heinous acts. We have to devise a strategy to eradicate this evil from its roots, promulgation of accountability and rule of law are the main ingredients to counter these issues. If we make ourselves responsible regarding these steps, we can easily get rid of these nation’s plagues.

Another significant step in this regard is to apply all essentials of good governance. The essentials of good government are seven in numbers that are as follows; the rule of law, functions of the state, securing fair competition, internalization of external effects, public goods, education and regional integration and global compatibility. Good governance will bring peace and harmony.

Our government officials and public both can work together for the betterment of the country. Neither public can clean all the mess alone, nor government can do it without help. we can achieve this target by working together in the peaceful environment.

This is our beloved country if we do not care for her who else will do care for her? She needs us. At this critical time we cannot leave her alone, we have to do anything if we have to sacrifice our lives for our motherland we should not hesitate to sacrifice. If we follow these steps, then we will surely make our country a prosperous and wealthy land, by doing so, we will project our good image among other countries.
